After World War II Burma’s general Aung San got England’s PM Sir Clement Atlee to agree and give Burma independence from Great Britian. From 1948 until 1962 Burma was a democracy with freedom. Then in 1962 Burma’s general Ne Win staged a coup and ended Burma’s democracy, freedom and human rights.

Burma used to be Asia’s rice bowl, now it’s Asia’s begging bowl because today’s junta in Burma led by senior general Than Shwe are plundering Burma’s natural resources for themselves.
